8 week old food amounts

I am feeding Fromm LBP a bit loose stools at the end as I switched her fast :( she only eats 3/4 cup 3x a day. Is this too little? She won't eat any more than that. Seems picky

I'm actually switching mine from BB LBP to Fromm LBP. The breeder had him on Blue Buffalo when I got him. He's been here for a week and I noticed really soft stools and at night they would be pudding-like. He really doesn't even like it.

Most of the time I'd give him 1/2 cup breakfast lunch and dinner and he didn't even eat that. Im slowly switching to Fromm and he LOVES it. He's actually eating the full 1/2 cup now.

You can always try switching the food around to see what she likes best.

Good luck!

I think I was trying to feed her a full cup and it was too much. Plus I alway thought you leave food down few min then pick it up. She's a slow eater so I may need to leave it down longer. Do u add any toppers or a bit of water? My puppy has been home only since monday

Mine is a slow eater too. I used to add water, I don't anymore. I always put a topper, either cooked chicken, raw beef or raw turkey. I put about the size of a golfball. I have a stand so I just leave the bowls in the stand I normal don't take it away. If he doesn't eat his full 1/2 cup he usually goes back in an hour to finish it.

I have other dogs so that would be a problem. I can block her In the kitchen though:) I add a teaspoon if Greek plain yogurt or ground beef.

With pups I have been told to give them as much as they want to eat for about 15 min, then take it away. I've never had one that actually ate for the whole 15 minutes, they usually lose interest (ie got their fill) or get distracted by a butterfly.

Decided to go back on the food my breeder was feeding she inhaled entire cup with only water added no toppers. Think I found my answer :)

At that age, I was told to feed 3/4 cup four times a day. The breeder was feeding Fromm.

My 8 week old is on 3/4 cup twice a day. He's starving right now and just got an extra 1/2 cup. He had an enema yesterday so I imagine that due to that he is hungrier than normal.
