Default New puppy food turned stool black?

Got puppy a couple weeks ago. Breeder had her on kibbles n bits. Vet told me to drop that and start prescription diet for a week then pick another food to start her on. I picked nature's select puppy recipe. Well ever since I put her on that food her stools have been black. Could be a problem or can food cause this?

My pup is on Wellness Core puppy and her poops look like nice dark tootie rolls! Think if higher in protein and lower in corn/fillers then they are nice and dark.
