Default Bones

Hi,
My puppy is 15 1/2 weeks, I went to the butchers today and he gave me some bones for him (someone on here mentioned it would be good for his teething) he LOVES them and has not put them down but someone just told me it's dangerous for him to have them this young, but not sure if that just applies to smaller breeds,

I don't want to do anything to harm my baby so can someone tell me if I should take them away?

Thank you

I wouldn't let him have it unsupervised.

What type of bones did you get?

I give raw frozen knuckle bones and marrow bones as recreational chews and I don't worry about my poodle because she just gnaws on them. Delgado though is a heavy chewer and therefore I watch him to make sure he doesn't crack anything off the bone

As for the age question, I don't have a problem with puppies having bones.

Chicken wings are a good start for a puppy (supervised), won't hurt them at all and they will really enjoy the pulling and ripping meat off the bone, not to mention the bones itself.

Although, I have to say the very first time I gave Harry a chicken wing, he was about 12 weeks and he swallowed it whole - silly boy! He has since learned the joys of ripping, pulling and tearing meat.
