Raw feeding in Ventura county???

Is anyone here located in Ventura County California?? If you raw feed, where do you buy your dog's meat? I've been calling places around here for the last two days and they either don't have what I'm looking for or it's really expensive. Anyone have suggestions??

mspiker03, I called Harvest Meat in LA and they seriously have the BEST prices I've found so far for everything we need! They were really nice and the guy told me to call ahead when we're ready and he'll have everything ready when we get there. THANK YOU for the recommendation!

Glad it worked out! I have bought from them in San Diego and in Sacramento. You may need cash and exact change (or as close to it as you can get) - it depends on the people there. I used checks in San Diego but need cash in Sac.

Thank you for the recommendation as well. Definitely going to give them a try

Did you happen to pick up your first order IOsmom? Curious to know what the ordering experience was like...dont want them thinking I'm playing a joke on them when I mention raw dog feeding

It was the Vernon location you called I'm guessing?

All of the wholesale meat places I have used (including harvest in both Sacramento and San Diego/National City) are pretty well versed in dog raw feeders. Often they will have one sales person dedicated to them and some even have a raw feeders price list of common foods that are ordered. I think they have found a new market of clients that they can tap into.

Thanks so much for the info, greatly appreciate it Makes me feel better about jumping into raw (when most people, including the breeder, isn't 100% sold on the idea)
