Authorithy brand from petsmart good?

Hello guys and gals. I'm currently feeding my 7wk pup the brand called "Authorithy" which I bought at Petsmart and recommended by the trainer there that has GSD's. The main ingredient is chicken. My pup seems to be liking it but wanted to know if anyone had any experience with it? Would switching to Royal Canin for GSD's be better? Thanks!!!

In my opinion its an OK middle of the road brand. For sure not the best, but I don't think its one of the worst either. Royal Canine in my opinion is over priced for what it is.

Authority isn't bad, but it's not 'great' ... Depending on how much you want to spend you could definitely find a better food. Royal Canine isn't great, either, and it's overpriced! Wellness, Fromm, Merrick, Blue Buffalo, Taste of the Wild, 4health, etc etc etc :P there are lots of good foods out there... now, depending on who you ask, they'll get ranked differently :P

According to dog food advisor, it's middle-shelf quality (3 stars out of 5).

Authority contains Corn and Corn gluten meal as ingredient #4 & #5 to boost the protein content. Corn can cause sensitivity responses in certain dogs and is a cheap filler, used instead of meat products within the first 5 ingredients of a kibble. 90% of corn used in dog food is Genetically Modified.
New Findings: A Brand New Twist in the Aflatoxin Contamination Crisis: Avoid This Aflatoxin-Infested Food Like the Plague

Quote: "For those of you who may not be familiar with the term aflatoxins, they are noxious metabolites produced by fungi that grow on crops – especially corn. Aflatoxins are the most extensively researched mycotoxins in the world, known to cause acute toxic illness and cancer in animals and humans.
A fascinating new twist in the growing contamination problem is a recent study that shows Roundup herbicide, the primary herbicide used in GM agriculture, promotes the growth of the fungi that produce aflatoxins. This certainly further explains the alarming increase in contamination levels in U.S. corn.
The study was conducted by researchers in Argentina and was published in the Journal of Environmental Science and Health1. According to GreenMedInfo, the study:"
“Adds to an increasing body of research indicating that glyphosate (aka Roundup), the primary herbicide used in GM agriculture, is seriously undermining the quality of our global food supply, and may help to explain recent observations that GM corn heavy markets, such as the U.S., have a significant aflatoxin problem.”

Royal Canin is now using BY-Products in their foods!
