Default Orijen

I heard that Orijen puppy and Orijen adult are very similar. I am used to feeding raw, so I do not know much about kibble. I am bringing home an 8 week old GSD and have a huge bag of the adult formula. Will it hurt to feed it to him? He is already on Orijen from the breeder. Thanks!

I feed Orijen and have done so for years. I would purchase the exact same food that the breeder has your pup on. Puppy formulas are easier to digest and have a higher nutrition content.

We only have a few months to give our new pups every chance at a long and healthy adult life and the best way to ensure proper and complete nutrition is to feed them food which is formulated for their age groups.

Congrats on your new "baby"!!!

Some people say NEVER feed a puppy adult.. some say they'll be fine, just a less "wholesome" food. I agree with calling the company, or of course, your vet.

According to Bonnie at Champion, their is a difference between the Adult, Large Breed Puppy and Puppy. It's in the Analysis,VITAMINS, BOTANICAL, MINERALS, AMINO ACIDS,break down PERCENTS of the ingredients, to include ALL. There is a difference between the 2 puppy products according to her.
