Default He likes the food that mommy doesn't like

My 10 weeks old was on pro plan when he was with the breeder. that's what I start off since I got him. I don't like the corn amount in pro plan so I switch him to blue buffalo puppy. I start to see that he less and less wanting food so I put some chicken broth in it to soften the kibble. He loves it for like a day or two then the trick doesn't do any good. The more blue buffalo in the mix the less he likes it. Then I start putting some blue buffalo can food in his kibble. He loves it for another day or two. Now that his food is all just blue buffalo he doesn't even touch it anymore. I use the method where I left him with the food for 15 minutes then I pick it up hope to have him learn that when its time to eat he gotta eat. Well even when he is hungry, and I know he does since he has been exercise a lot in the yard and only ate like 1/2 cup of food breakfast and lunch combined, he doesn't eat the food.

So today I put both pro plan and blue buffalo in the same bowl but didn't mix them together to see if he just doesn't hungry or he hate blue buffalo. And yup, he ate every single pro plan kibble and didn't touch blue buffalo at all.

So is there other food brand that taste like pro plan but better ingredient? I don't mind keeping him on it for now if it works out for him but boy it's like him asking me mom can I eat McDonald for breakfast lunch and dinner everyday? And I don't like it

At our vet visit when he was 8 weeks he weigh 14 lbs. vet said if I start to see his ribs, don't be alarmed. They just growing their bone so fast. He is still healthy looking. Soft and shiny coat (as far as I can tell I never really get to compare him with other gsd). He looks taller and longer but Im not sure about "wider". He's very energetic and have lots of activities all day especially weekend. But in the pass two days he has been eating like 1 cup for entire day.

Purina Pro Plan has the "Selects" line that includes a puppy kibble and there is no corn, wheat, soy or byproduct meal. This might be a good choice for him if he enjoys the Pro Plan. The puppy kibble is turkey and barley if my memory is correct.

@mego: I'm interested in putting my boy on acana or orijen when he is out of puppy food. I read that TOTW puppy food has too much calcium, isn't it?? I never have any other dog before so I can't really compare but Lincoln gets taller and longer very very fast. His body still look the same. I can still see his ribs clearly.
@WVGSD: Pro Plan select doesn't have puppy formula. Our vet suggest us have him on any food of my choice but only for large breed puppy.

I am now completely switched back to Pro Plan focus large breed puppy which he was on when he was with the breeder. He still doesn't seem excited but at least he's eating now. The breeder told us to have him on adult food by 5 months. Is this normal?
