Right food?
I'm feeding my pup 3 cups of nutri-source a day. He is 12 weeks old and about 22 lbs. He seem hungry after eating and through out the day. He poops probably 3 times a day. Is nutri-source a good brand or should I consider switching bands? Thanks

How are his poops? If they're not huge, unformed and toxic smelling then he's probably fine on the food he's on. It's not a bad food by any means! 3 cups sounds like plenty for a pup his age/size too. How often are you feeding him? Can you see a tuck under his stomach and an hourglass figure when looking at him from above? Can you run your fingers over his ribcage and slightly feel them or is there "padding"? This will help you know if he's eating enough, too much or too little. Don't go by how hungry he seems, my dogs are all chow hounds and would eat until they literally popped! Doesn't mean they need that much food. Lol!

Kind of smell not to bad it knocks me out lol usually alot of little poops together. Once in the morning about 7ish and 5 at night. He has a good figure and is already pretty strong. I'm a first time GSD owner. So just want to make sure it's a good food source.

Check the calcium and phosphorus content of the formula you are feeding. If the levels are acceptable for a large breed puppy and your pup is doing well on it, then it is a good food.

you can add some fresh meat, fish, oils (human grade),
fruit, organic yogurt, chicken, etc. |
