Default Not Eating....advice needed :)

Our beautiful Kona came to us a few days ago and he's great! He understands that he can't be rough with the kids and is already bell potty trained. Did I mention he's almost 10 weeks old?!

Now his eating is a wreck. He, no joke, won't eat! His breeder sent him with Benefil wet (blegh) so we've offered that to him....nothing. We tried a little bit of kibble...nothing. I made him rice and some chicken...nada. I tried the tips offered in the sticky thread with the 'gravy' and cat food and still nothing! He loves his bully stick and training treats and has no problem chomping those. Any advice? We are taking him to the vet tomorrow to make sure nothing is up.

Tips?

Thanks everyone!

What are you feeding him? How many treats is he getting before his meal?

He came with Benefil wet and his breeder said he ate it with no problems. We want to change him over to Blue Buffalo eventually but are having trouble with him eating his 'regular' food.

As far as treats go, he gets them when he pottys and rings his bell. Or when he does a behavior we like such as going in his crate, and it's only one.

I forgot to mention he wants to eat his poop and moss! ;(

If my dog/puppy was refusing meals, I wouldn't be giving any treats nor edible things like bully sticks.

We took Kona to the vet today and he tested positive for giardia he's also on some meds for coccida (sp?) perhaps this is why he hasn't been eating much....he also only weighed 9.6 pounds at 9 weeks of age, yikes!
