I have seen this food mentioned quite a few times in various postings and I just wanted to see if anyone using it has seen any changes in their dogs since the Proctor and Gamble buy out? I know this is something our customers have been fearing and so far our Natura rep has said nothing has changed but I am hesitant to feed my pup this if there will be a change. I am using TOTW High Prairie puppy but I really have to work to get her to eat it and now I am seeing it may not have the best protein and calcium levels for her. I used to use Innova adult for my other 3 but then switched to Fromm grain free, which my pup constantly tries to get into but it has 30% protein which the breeder said was way too high. She also told me to stay away from wheat and corn and was impressed that I would rather go grain-free but for a puppy food especially for a LBP it seems impossible. And here I thought I was so up to date on food and now I feel like I am learning all over again...

TOTW is made by Diamond. If you have a problem feeding a P&G, I can't see how a Diamond product would be a better choice. I'd feed Innova over TOTW any day of the week. Not really a fan of P&G, but I'm definitely not a fan of Diamond at all.
And yes, TOTW is not the best choice for a puppy. It's not the protein you need to worry about, it's the calcium. TOTW has too much calcium for large breed puppies.

Well luckily I just got a small bag so she hasn't been on it long and I can switch her over. It wasn't so much the problem with P&G as I used Innova for years and years but wanted to go grain free and their EVO had too much protein for my small dogs. I was more interested in the opinions of people using it and if there has been any difference in the food or their dogs reaction before I go ahead and move onto that LBP formula. In my personal experience my customers had complaints as soon as they heard about P&G and refused to continue on the food whether there was a change or not then I had the occassional person say their dog was sick suddenly etc. I still recommend Innova to many customers and until I get word from Natura that there is a change we will carry it in the store, I just don't want to start on a food that I intend to use through puppyhood only to find out others have had issues already. That being said we don't sell alot of that formula for me to get any complaints on it because only one person orders it through us for her Mastiff puppy and she is still purchasing. I personally don't mind who owns what if they are making a quality product but when they start messing with the food to keep costs down and dogs get sick then we get into a real issue. I know Diamond has not had the best reputation around when it comes to dog foods, but so far the TOTW has been a decent food from the feedback I have gotten, but I would much rather go with Innovas formula for the overall health of my pup if it is more balanced for a LBP.

I used to feed Innova before the P&G buyout. I always liked it, but didn't want to wait for P&G to have a recall or start changing the ingredients, so i switched to something else.
No matter what food you feed, there's always going to be positives and negatives experiences. No food is perfect for every dog. For a puppy, I'd recommend Innova over TOTW. Innova adult is fine for a puppy, no need to go with the LBP formula.

I am not limited to the two brands at all, the Innova was just one that I can easily get and saw quite a few people on here were using it. I am open to any suggestions. What did you switch to after Innova if you don't mind me asking?

I switched to Orijen adult. It's a high protein food, but again, protein isn't an issue with a healthy dog. They've got an adult and large breed puppy formula, but I'd go straight to adult even with a puppy. It's a little pricey though.
Wellness is another brand I've used in the past, but with a different dog. Always had good results with that. Don't feed the core formula until the dog is 2 - too much calcium. Another brand that's similar to orijen being a grain free, but a lot less expensive, is the earthborn holistic grain fees. Very good ingredients for a very fair price.
