Default Food allergy?

My 6 month old pup has been on Orijen since I got him. I have noticed that his eyes are red occasionally and every time I increased the amount of food, which I did gradually, he had loose stools. Two weeks ago he developed a very runny diarrhea and vet put him on bland diet and prescribed meds. His eyes got much better being on rice and chicken and stools firmed up, but they are kinda orange though. After a week on a diet I started to slowly introduce Orijen back, but on this very day my husband gave him 1.5 cup of Origen for dinner. Grom's eyes turned red same evening and were bull red in whites and corners of his eyes in the morning, he pooped a ton and it was pudding like.

I'm thinking about switching Grom to different food, but I don't know which food to choose. What would you recommend? Right now he is very skinny, he lost some weight since diarrhea, he is about 52 pounds now and needs to put on weight.

Since you live in NJ, look for Annamaet Ultra. Avoid high protein foods with a hard keeper.

NJ is a big market for foods. I could recommend a dozen that you could find.

Try Annamaet. That is what I use and I think its the best on the market. It is also substantially cheaper than what you are struggling with.

Which County in NJ?

I'm in Morris county

Haven't seen that brand here, I guess I need to take a trip to some pet stores here and explore the shelves Would you suggest Extra or Option? And why did you think it is the best?

What other brands would you suggest? I've been reading positive reviews of Fromm food, it seems to be less rich than Orijen and it's easely available here. I'm open to suggestions )

Encore, Extra or Salcha. Best ingredients, small batch production and excellent results. The person that owns it is well known gloablly and 100% incorruptible.

You can get it in Montclair or out near Lake Hopatcong.

Fromm is a good food too. The Gold line is good. Look for Precise Chicken & Rice too.

Other good value options are Blue Seal and Loyall.

Thanks, Sable! I'll look into those brands. What will be the safest way for him to put on a weight? A month ago he was 49 lbs and now he weighs 53, he looks skinny.

Then he is probably at good weight. Use the guide on the bag and see how he is doing after a few weeks.
