I'm feeding my 6 week old GS puppy Steffi Wellness LBP and it says to feed only 1.5 cups a day which doesn't seem like it's enough. Steffi eats it all really quick and begs for more but I haven't given her more. Steffi does like to run around a lot and is getting skinny so should I up her food?

If she's getting skinny definitely up her food. Those recommendations are just that... recommendations
However, its worth noting that a puppy should never be allowed to eat as much as it wants. Most puppies will always want more than they need. Use their body condition to decide how much they need, not whether they beg for more. |

That is only 549 calories a day, that's an incredibly small amount of calories. Eevee was eating around 500 calories when she was 6 weeks old and she was only 2.3lb! (Small breed mutt) No way could a GSD survive off that!
http://mycockerspaniel.com/mer.htm ^ That is a calculator that I find is pretty darn close to what my dogs have always actually needed to stay fit for their activity levels, age and size. I'd type your info in there, see what it gives you and go from there.

Should also mention, it will give you a x amount of food-x amount of food for young puppies. For a large breed dog, go for the higher calories. Feed that for a couple weeks, back off if your pup is getting chubby or add more if they're still too skinny.
