After reading about bloat, I was wondering if it's a good practice to crate our pup, and give her a nap immediately after feeding?
This morning Kira had a nice meal. She seemed content, and voluntarily went into her crate, and is napping. I closed the door behind her, and left her there. I'm wondering if this is something I should make a regular habit of doing? |

I too believe it is a good idea to teach them from puppyhood that after meal time is NAP time and NOT playtime. I didn't use a create with Siren but she was leashed and after meals was made to rest were ever I was sitting. I gave her her bone so she could either sleep or chew on her bone. She is now 3+yo and still immediately either curls up on the couch and naps or lays somewhere and chews on her bone after meals.

Yes, you just don't want them running about.
