Default 1 adult 1 pup - 4health

I have Dakota who is 2 1/2 and am getting a new pup today. Im currently feeding Dakota 4 health from tractor supply and was wondering If I could skip the pup food all together and feed both the same. I know when I had Dakota he was on pup food for a short time before I switched him to TOTW. Or whats the best way to feed these guys with out them eating each others food.

I don't know about eating the same food but you could always just train them to not eat the others food. My guys are on different foods because one has digestive issues and they don't touch the other one's food. I just monitored feeding time whenever I got the pup and corrected if they tried. Good luck!

Yes. 4Health adult is actually better for large breed puppies than 4Health puppy. The puppy food has too much calcium for large breed pups. Congrats on your new pup!

My 8 month old pup has been on 4Health Lamb and Rice (adult food) since he was itty bitty and it's been great for him. He's stayed thin but he's growing like a weed- he's just now starting to look a little heavier and fill out a touch. He's been 100% healthy. I wouldn't hesitate to use it for both a pup and an adult.

IMO, it is a good idea to teach them to stay out of eachothers bowls when they are eating. Even if they eat the same food. There is no reason to bowl hop. Even when I had 2 adults and a baby puppy, everyone ate from their own bowl. I kept the puppy on a leash until she understood to stay out of the other dogs food. (and they were fed the same thing. I don't feed puppy food.)
