Default SPCA of Central Florida - Wiggle, Waggle, Walk

For those interested in supporting shelter dogs and cats at the SPCA of Central Florida (or for those that just want to get out of the house and walk your pups with the locals and visit pet vendors) the SPCA of Central Florida will be hosting their 11th annual Wiggle Waggle Walk at Cranes Roost, Uptown Altamonte.

The event will be held on Saturday, October 22nd, from 9am to 1pm. There is a minimum $25 donation fee, and applications can be found at the link below. All proceeds from the walk help benefit the SPCA of Central Florida!

I know I will be there with Alex, supporting all of those pups and kittens from the SPCA of Central Florida (where I actually found Alex)! Hope to see all of you Central Floridians there!

Zira and I will try our best to be there. I just have to make sure I can get that day off from work. I would love to do it!

I hope so, for both of you! If you'd like (and anyone else that may be from the Central Florida area and would like to go) we can form a pack. I can look into it for us, if you'd like. I'm not sure if it's anymore than the $25 registration fee or if there's a minimum donation we have to meet. I'll let you all know more about it once I read up on it. I hope everyone can make it!

EDIT: Oh lordy, it says that a pack is a group of two or more people.....that raise, in conjunction, more than $500. yeaaaah.....sticking to individual registration on that one!

Wendy, let me know if you plan on going! It'd be great if we could all meet up at the walk and hang out together with the dogs. (And of course, Alyssa, you can carpool with me and my biggin' - so long as Zira doesn't try and monkey business!

Thanks, carpooling would be the best, this way it's not two different cars traveling that distance.... less gas money for us both! Zira will be fine! lol! She did good when we went to the dog park with both of them in the back. Except at the end Alex was pretty unhappy about getting stepped on and pushed almost under your seat! haha!

I am excited for some good socialization time for Zira.... it'll be a good experience for her! Though, I really hope she doesn't spend the whole walk trying to tackle Alex!! Lol... Can't bring those two anywhere together!!

Also, I agree on Individual sign up.... $25 sounds much better then $500! It would be nice to get some others to come along though. Sign up individually, then just walk together.

Wendy (Dooney's Mom), it would be lovely to have you come along! I know Zira would love to meet some other GSDs! She's always happy to socialize with other pups like her!

Pretty positive that I am going- DH and I are trying to figure out when/where we are going on vacationn pretty sure it won't be on that weekend though. Dooney loves all dogs so I think it would be a blast do go- she will be almost 9 months then! Time sure does fly!

I can't wait to meet you guys and Dooney can't wait to meet Alex and Kira! Alex can give her evil stare, maybe I will have Dooney trained to show her teeth by then and Kira can slam her butt into everyone (lol- just kidding she will be over that by then!)

Aww, yay! We'd definitely be happy to meet ya'll too! Zira and Dooney are close in age..... By then Zira will be almost 10 months. She was born 01/09/11....... Wow, time really does fly by...... my baby is inching up to the year mark!

And definitely no butt bumping!!! Oh thank god she will be LONG done with that! haha!!! I can't wait for that to stop!! I love her.... but, the butt bumping, slutty acts, diapers, and moody "I don't want to listen, or eat anything" are really not making life pleasant around here! We've decided to revert back to our 5 month old terror days....... I feel like a broken record... and headaches are daily.... lol, I'm counting down the days!!!!

We've just got to work a bit on our "large crowed" manners and hope that after the heat cycle is gone... we go back to our well behaved (somewhat), well mannered (again.. somewhat), cute Zira.... not the demon dog that currently lives here! hehehe!)
