Default Now I'm fustrated

So, I'm looking to join a GSD Club in this area and either I find one that meets up too far away or I find one that I don't like.

I've been trying to contact my breeder but she's busy, having just confirmed one of her females being pregnant and other going into heat. I wanted to ask her of a nearby club.

I'm fustrated and need help finding a GSD club to join.

Can anyone help me?

The GSD club in my area is mostly for AKC conformation dogs. They sort of make a token effort at any dog sport and their obedience is frighteningly bad.

I have the same issue. I live in the city and do not own a vehicle. We travel by metro, subway, or cab and haven't been able to find an actual club near us. I've googled GSD clubs using my zip and can't find much- have you tried google yet? There are clubs within an hour from us, but that is too far considering our kids HW schedules, sports, play dates, and so on. Good luck I hope someone in your area can help you though

I only know of one GSD club near me, and I dont belong. I do AKC obedience, so I go to obedience clubs. I do have a private trainer that owns GSD's, so she is familiar with the breed. I would look into the kind of clubs that are what you plan to do with your GSD. Obedience, rally, SchH, agility, flyball. There are lots of those around. You dont have to actually enter competitions to belong to one of these clubs, its great to socialize with other dog owners and get out and have fun.

There isn't a gsd club in my neck of the ginky weeds but I do belong to a marvelous obedience training club. There are several hunting/retrieving clubs that teach basic skills so I'm considering going to one- maybe Stosh will start retrieving ducks before long

Okay then, maybe I should just focus on becoming a member of German Shepherd Club of America.

Did you check the GSDCA web site? They have a list of all the local GSD clubs.

Yes, I did.

I looked and thought and I decided the GSD Club of East TN would be the best choice.

Thanks for your help, everyone!
