I would definitely recommend getting an evaluation done at a SchH club, usually these places have more GSD people who understand the breed and can offer sound advice. They will be able to work with you through your dogs issues.
There are several in our area (about 1-2 hour drive) if you would like further information let me know and I can give you some places to check out. Where abouts are you located? This can help me recommend a few trainers in the area. I am in KW (Kitchener-Waterloo), Ontario.
