It has taken years and tons of hard work to get to this point. If you are interested in something in your local area I suggest starting to find out what is available in your state. You never know - you may be able to be a part of disaster preparedness for your area.

Thanks. I really think that FL as a state is probably if not the strongest then pretty close to it in being proactive for our animals for disaster planning and training and I'm very proud of what we (the whole team) have accomplished in my county.

Sounds like a great class and if we didn't have a puppy reunion that weekend, I would drive over.

I had to do most of my research on emergency prep. for animals on line. I don't think Fl. is that prepared or ready to deal with pets and people who have pets. This is my first year with puppies and we are setting up an emergency kit but I must admit, I'm nervous about hurricanes.

What county are you in? I might be able to give you some links just for your area?
