Dock Dogs & Pet Lovers Extravaganza Va Beach

This weekend (Apr 30-May 2) at the Care A Lot Pet Supply on Diamond Springs Rd in Virginia Beach, VA, there will be a Dock Dogs competition and Pet Lovers Extravaganza with various pet contests, agility course demos, moonbounce & face painting for the skin kids, and a food tent. Sounds like a whole lot of neat things going on out there this weekend.

Yea, we were thinking of going, if we do will have to be early tomorrow with the whole Earth Day thing at Trashmore tomorrow..

We made it out there Saturday afternoon from around noon until two. Almost every dog food vendor had a tent set up with free samples. I thought of you VBFam knowing that you're looking to switch foods, so I hope you were able to take advantage of that. And for humans, Chanellos was giving out free slices of pizza.

I took some pictures, but I haven't had a chance to get download them onto the computer. I'll try to do that tonight.

Is there a place we can train our dogs to "dock dive" without having to spend $?

I found a pond at a park that doesn't seem to get much use. When I was on vacation I used a neighbours dock...it was really high

Not sure, but Tidewater Dock Dogs says

Our membership fee is only $65.00 annually and that covers all the humans in your family and two dogs. There are discounted rates for families with more than two dogs.
Orientation classes for people and dogs new to Dockdogs are offered. They are mandatory and cost $35.00 per dog. It really is a crucial first step to begin jumping with Dockdogs. Orientation is offered every 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month and are limited to 6 teams. First come, first serve. Teams must pre register and prepay. Orientation is from 9 am to 12 pm at Shipp’s Corner located at 1515 Drakesmile Road in Virginia Beach.
