Ontario SPCA Friends for Life! Walk-a-thon 2010


In support of the Ontario SPCA York Region Branch
The walk is an event to raise financial support and awareness for the protection and care of all animals in our community - not just dogs. Everyone is Welcome!

Walk, Woof and Wag in support of our Fabulous Furry Friends!

Each year the Ontario SPCA provides protection, care, sheltering, and re-homing for thousands of animals. The Ontario SPCA also advocates for stronger animal protection laws – provincially and nationally. Your participation in this year's walk-a-thon will help ensure our continued voice for All animals across Ontario.

Richmond Green Park, Richmond Hill
1300 Elgin Mills Road East, between Bayview Avenue & Leslie Street

Directions:
From Highway 404 take the Elgin Mills Road exit. West on Elgin Mills about 1 KM to Richmond Green Park.

10:30 am Vendor Village opens
10:45 am Welcome and opening remarks
11:00 – 11:15 am Join Triple Threat Training Team for a
fun walk warm up
11.15 am Walk begins
12:00 pm M&M’s Barbeque
12:00 – 3:00 pm Enjoy live music featuring the Brenda Scott Quartet
Music for the whole family
12.00 – 12:30 pm York Regional Police K9 Unit
12:30pm K9 Best Dressed Contest
1:00 – 1:30 pm Woofjocks Dog Show (agility, obedience drills,
tricks, musical freestyle and games)
1:30 – 2:00 pm K9 Best Trick Contest
2:00 – 2:30 pm Woofjocks Dog Show (agility, obedience drills,
tricks, musical freestyle and games)
2:30 – 3:00 pm Smallest and Tallest dog Contest
3:00 pm Award Top 3 Fundraising Prizes and Top Team Prize


FUN DOG CONTESTS:
Is your four pooch the best dressed dog on the block? How about the best behaved? Can your dog do incredible tricks? Prizes will be awarded for the best of show in our many fun contests and games.
