Are any of you going to this show at the Cow Palace?
It is a shame they don't show the GSD's here, but I still like to watch it. Lots of good vendors (although the economy has hit even some of them so not as many 'freebees'). I'm going on Saturday early this year... my third year going. |

I have no idea why. I looked at prior years and not once have they had any GSD's there (and of course we can't bring any pets unless they are show dogs). I still go, just watch the other dogs.

According to Infodog there were 6 GSD entered last year (maybe they didn't show up?):

Not all breeds are represented at any given show. Sometimes there is not a judge for that breed or the judge does not "draw" entries.

There used to be GSDs there, although not that many. I haven't been in a few years, but there were a few GSD breeders that last time, including Cassidy's.

interesting. I know they didn't make the schedule and there wasn't any area for them to 'wait', so I wonder what happened. I'll have to keep an eye out this year, maybe I'll be surprised.

They were there last year. Not many, I think just one breeder. They were benched down in the lower exhibit halls near where they did the flyball exhibits. I heard there were some "scheduling" conflicts the last few years.
They are on the schedule this year at least for Sun at 8:30 am. http://www.infodog.com/jps/1208/jpg1208.pdf Still debating whether to go and which day. Leaning toward Sat morning - like to catch a little of the obedience and there's only one ring for that. |

Oh darn, I'm there Saturday morning... bummer I will miss it. I'm going with some friends (our annual event) and plan on being there most of the day. I love watching the fly ball... Siena would SO love that (but I'm not interested in competing, just fun)

Pet Food Express has $1 off coupons. Not much considering the cost of parking and entry.
Check out the same location on Saturday, they may be there as well-I didn't see the Sat judging schedule but the premium list indicated they were scheduled both days and they usually are in the same rings. |
