There is AHBA sanctioned herding instinct testing (HIC and HCT also JHD and puppy runs) at Ewetopia in Roy, Washington on Saturday, March 21, 2009:

AHBA Herding Instinct event - Ewetopia - Western Washington State

No training is needed for the HIC/HCT and it's a lot of fun. :-)

I wish I were closer. how can I find a test in my area? I live in Kentucky

I think Miss Siren needs to go to this!!!!!!! I'd love to see her with sheep.

There are other organizations that do this type of testing too. I believe the AKC even has their own version. You could look for herding training centers near you and call them to see if they are having trials and ask them who to contact.

These event are really fun! :-)
