buying a snake chain

per trainer ( to try) ...I used one in class tonight with her help and it worked better than the prong.

not asking for opinions on them...It will be another tool I can use to help with the issues I have going on...what I do need to know is...measuring. I measured around up by Roxy's ears and I get 17.5 ...I will assume not to get the 18 inch but to go up to the 20 inch one....is that correct?

I don't use a chain. I use a nylon choke when I need one. I would take her in and try them on. You don't want a lot of extra. And you can buy what's called a "dominant" dog collar with is the same thing but has a latch so you can hook it instead of sliding it over their necks.

it's like a show choke? It's like a choke chain only it's more smooth in correcting -- not like a bike chain

so if she measures 17.5 ...would I buy the 18 or 20 of the nylon one? I also see them on amazon. we don't live close enough to a dog store that carries this good stuff. We have a small mom and pop shop that keeps the dog food we use...that's about all I get there that I need.

I'd measure her head before you order it. No sense ordering an 18" if it won't fit over her head. You're probably better off to order the 20" I think.
