Default Rolled Jute reward

Does anyone use a rolled jute reward or tug toy?

I was thinking about getting this...not sure if I should go with this one or something bigger?

If you have a dog that is intense while tugging, these will come apart over time.

He is only 5 months old, I'm trying to transition him from his soft fluffy "bunny" tug to something more grown up. I doubt he has that kind of intensity.

I have those and they are a little hard for their teeth. My breeder goes for the thinner/longer bite suit tugs over these.

At 5 months, he's probably going through some teething and "grown up" tugs right now could do more harm than good.

I would agree......at 5 months I would go with something soft. That is how I got introduced to the ultra balls. (put one on a string instead of the knobby balls)....as far as tugs, there are plenty of soft ones for this age.

Thanks guys. He is teething pretty good now. When he is chewing on his chew toys he yeps occasionally, so I know the teeth are causing him pain. I ordered a 12" leather tug, but will not use it till he is through this milestone. I have stopped playing tug with him all together for now.
