Default Baby/pet gate recommendation?

I will be getting a baby/pet gate that will mount into a door frame and have a gate that swings open. Ideally I'd like one that can be opened/latched with one hand, and swing both directions. I've looked at several on Amazon, just wondering if anyone has any *personal experiences* bad or good with this type of product?

We have a few, but I really like this one:
Amazon.com: Carlson 0930PW Extra-Wide Walk-Thru Gate with Pet Door, White: Baby Amazon.com: Carlson 0930PW Extra-Wide Walk-Thru Gate with Pet Door, White: Baby

Door swings in either direction. The 'handle' on top can be 'locked' so that the door does not push open easily (if it's locked, it will require two hands.) However, you can close/latch that bar on top without locking it, and you can easily open it with just one hand.

Amazon.com: Carlson Extra-Tall Flexi Pet Gate: Baby Amazon.com: Carlson Extra-Tall Flexi Pet Gate: Baby
We also have this one (same company.) Pretty much the same thing but the handle on the first one I posted seems a little sturdier/is more "solid" (it's bigger/thicker.) The handle on the second one is thinner but still easy to open with one hand.

Thanks for the recs! I still need to measure the doorframe. My house is about 80 years old, older style house with rooms (no open plan) and narrower doors and halls, so I suspect if anything I'll have to make sure the gates are not too wide. It took us 4 tries to buy a couch/love seat that fit into the house through this doorframe!

Be sure to check out overstock.com. We got two from there recently and prices were cheaper with shipping than amazon.

I agree with the Carlson Extra Tall Gate. We have used multiple and this is by the best. Very sturdy and easy to open the door when it is unlocked. We had an old house as well and it is quite narrow and comes with added extenders if needed.

Hi Lies, I got this one from Amazon: Amazon.com: Supergate Deluxe Décor Metal Gate, Espresso: Baby

It's been great - it's sturdy, easy to open with one hand, stays open if you want it to, and swings completely open if you need to move furniture or something. I have a weird corner between the living room and kitchen, and it was still easy to get it mounted on the walls.

The more I think about it, the more I'm inclined to actually build something. Many of these are actually too wide, even at their most narrow width. Also I'm having trouble understanding how something "pressure mounted" is very secure when the rods don't span the full width across the top, if that makes sense? There has to be an opening for the gate. My dogs don't abuse boundaries, but these are GSDs not Lhasas, so even if my puppy were to put his paws up on the top, I'm wondering how strong it will hold. Height is not an issue, this will be mounted in a door frame that's at a landing, so there's a step up and the dogs will be on the low side. That already gives me some extra height.
