Wood Crate/Kennel

I saw a post on here of someone who made an excellent crate out of wood. I'm trying to do something similar but can't seem to find it now and it would make a great reference. It is for indoors, for a dog that is escaping other crates. Help?? :help:

I hope you find it, but IDK. Crating my dogs inside wood would not be that much more secure than crating them in mosquito netting, lol. They have big, sharp teeth ;)

Solid wood is much harder to bend than wire and less likely to crack than an airline crate. Im pretty cobfident a properly built one will keep him in (and my carpet in tact).

In case anybody was wondering, here is our solution! Decided it would be easier to buff up a new wire crate. We'll see how it goes! Still have some u-nuts to attach to all of the corners to make it sturdy, but the door has been the issue on every crate. Voila!

Sounds good. I always zip tied all the joints on my wire crates (mainly for car transport) to keep it sturdier as well.

He busted the door off of one with two padlocks, zip ties, and tons of bolts. Zip ties snapped under his determination LOL. I am very hopeful this will work.

it sounds like you don't need it anymore, but I ran across these plans today.

We actually saw that but the pieces were all glued together so we didn't think it'd be incredibly durable. Couldn't remember who on here had an awesome one for their shepherds they'd made at home and recommended to someone looking to buy a strong crate. We're hoping to make steel one in the next few weeks but needed something pretty quick. My boyfriend kicked the door now that we have it completely solid with strong wood and it didn't even budge. It's much more intricate than the picture shows.
