KONG Squeaker Tennis Balls

These squeakers go out in less than 2 days, usually one. I have gone through 4 sets of these balls. My dog rips them in half. They don't hold up.

The other safety issue is that the plastic squeaker comes out and presents a choking hazard.

Is my GSD just the ultimate Alpha Male because I see so much praise for these balls in various threads.

What has been your experience please? Thank you!

They die in our house in a couple of hours....! They know just the right spots to kill them. Our dogs love the chuck it balls, orange and blue like rubber tennis balls. They are great in water, they can chew them like bubble gum, no murder needed, we bought 10 balls when they were 5 months old....they are a year now and can still use the same balls. We have replaced soccer balls and rugby balls (they pick them up and they go flat) when they were younger pups....after much painfully irritating training and repeating leave it....we have not had to replace any more balls for other family's since they were 7 months old.
Good luck finding balls your dog can't kill.
Other balls that work....
Oneworldfutbol...online only
Jolly ball for horses....tractor supply
Varsity balls....online...but hard and heavy...very entertaining for the dogs.

Good info! Thanks for sharing! I wrote Kong Corp. If I hear back, I will post it.

Any of the fuzzy "tennis" type balls are are hard on their teeth. You might want to look at Chuck it ultra or Orbee World balls, no fuzz and a little less wear on the teeth.

Don't get the tennis balls. I think these are the ones that people recommend. I know its what my dog likes.

She also really likes these. She kills the squeeker rather quickly but the ball lasts for a couple of months.

My dogs all shred any sort of toy other than a Nylabone and the black Kong solid ball in minutes. Any brand of tennis ball, Kongs, even the solid rubber Gappay balls. Most toys aren't going to last if the dog just wants to destroy it like mine will, they are intended for playing *with* the dog. We have two sets of Kong squeaker balls at my flyball club for dogs that are weird and will only work for a squeaker so we use them to transition to a normal tennis ball and they have lasted, but the dogs aren't chewing the balls, just retrieving them and then they get food or a tug as a reward.

Second....one article I read said the glue they use for those balls damage the teeth....not sure if this is true but I have read it more than a few places.

I like the diamond plate orbees for throwing. Mine ripped the planets off of the planet dog and I think they are a choking hazard so I finished the job.

Beau likes the large holee-rollers too and could destroy them but does not seem so inclined.
