WTB: Leather Harness (and questions)
I'd really like to buy a leather harness for Trent, but we do not train in any sport and the harness would only be used for walking around/jogging. Aesthetically, I like agitation and tracking harnesses, but is there any reason why I should opt for a "regular" walking harness instead? Does anyone out there use their agitation harness as a walk around harness, or am I just crazy?
Either way, I'd be very interested if anyone has a used agitation or tracking harness for sale. If nobody has one lying around, I'll most likely buy the tracking harness from Bridgeport Equipment: https://www.bridgeportequipment.com/...x?productId=96 https://www.bridgeportequipment.com/...s/102200SM.jpg Probably the best price for quality I'd be able to find, and exactly what I was looking for. My other question is about sizing, for anyone who's purchased from Bridgeport before (or anyone with more common sense than me!). Their size chart is here: https://www.bridgeportequipment.com/SizeCharts.aspx but which chart should I be looking at? The white Harness Chart A with the Labrador, or the brown Harness Chart B right below? One says Trent is a Large, and the other says he would need a Medium sized harness. |
I use a harness but it is a front buckle kind and nylon for walking and I use it as a training aid. Since you don't want a training aid, I don't see why not if you like the looks of this harness. For sizing questions, I would contact the seller's customer service. I can see where you may want a used one as it would be broken in. If you need to buy new, be sure to soften the leather - saddle soap it well, even use Neets oil like for horse harnesses, so your dog doesn't get sore.
