At a store today I felt a round leather leash that was so so soft. Ohmygosh. I loved it. But it was only 4' long and I really want a 6'.
I'm fine with buying online but I didn't see a brand name on that one so I have no idea what brand might be a soft round leather leash. So please, if you have one or you know of one that really is soft, and available at 6', please let me know. I know a good one won't be cheap. I'm okay with that. ![]() Thanks in advance.

It will be my regular walking around leash. I have a leather one now, no name, and it is soft after several years of use, but honestly, when I touched that rounded one, it was so buttery soft I thought it would melt in my hands. I'm rather textured oriented (which makes MY eating a pain - ha) so I really fell for it.
I've Googled various leash options, plus followed up on links posted here, and it appears that it is more common to find these in a shorter length, like 48". Is that a length that is more often used in a certain type of work? I'm wondering if I should try that?

What do you mean by round? Like rolled leather?
Most good quality leather will soften with use, or you can generally speed up the process by using a good leather conditioner. Sometimes just playing with it can help too, like move it around and fold/unfold it in your hands. |

Chicago Canine, yes, I know leather will soften over time. My current leather leash that I bought 5 years ago for my previous dog is nice and soft. But this round one was a different kind of soft. I'm not explaining it very well.
And maybe rolled leather IS the correct term. I don't know. But it wasn't flat. Heidi, yes, that was the style, that first one! Ooh, 80", that seems long, adjustable. I haven't played with one of those but if I could wrap it around my waist, that might be a good option. Thanks.

hehehe! Thank you, by the way!
I'm trying to figure out the length, I've only ever used a 6' leash. 4' seems short or is that for showing? Then the other one seems long at 108" but I could wrap it around my waist which does give me leverage, if I should need it. And I don't have an adjustable leash (can you hear me rationalizing it?) Actually hubby is getting me this for Valentine's Day. He thought I was joking when I said I'd rather have a new leash than jewelry. Silly old bear.
