Dual retractable leashes Yikes!
 

Wow, as if one wasn't dangerous enough in the hands of most people now it's two!

FWIW I have no problem with the leashes themselves in the hands if the right people are using them.

Wow that has got to be one of the worst product ideas ever. Luckily I've never seen one in use. I have no problem with retractable leashes used responsibly with a trained dog but I cannot think of any good use for a double version!

I agree completely! But unfortunately that was not the case in both situations they took up the entire pathway and sidewalk going every which way. Thankfully both times they were littler dogs -under 30 lbs I'd say.

I use a retractable leash if I'm just running the dogs out to go potty really fast. I don't use them on walks, for training, or at the pet store. I do not have a problem with them, but I can see how some people would.

Wow that is a very horrible product for novice dog owners to be able to purchase!

I do own some retractable leashes but I only use them when we're hiking up in the mountains if there's a lot of mountain bikers and I want my dog to be able to roam a bit but be able to have some control in getting them out of the way. Their recalls are good it's just sometimes those bikers go by pretty fast and I need a faster reaction time.

And we use one for our golden at the beach because he loves to run and swim and we don't always want to get wet lol and the closest beach to us does not allow dogs off leash.

They certainly have there uses though I am going to be switching to some really long training leads instead, those offer longer lengths and seems like much better control.

I would never dare use that dual leash though, wow.

Watch out at the beach, sand can really mess up the mechanisms. The last time I took a Flexi to the beach I had to take it apart after to remove the sand from inside so it would work properly again.

HORRIBLE IDEA!!!! Too many people dont use the single ones properly! dual lines is even worse!

Ha, ha, just imagining the scenes....... These leashes shout "I don't know how to train my dogs" from miles afar and I also stay away.
One time a lady with a Golden on a monster leash like that tried to unleash him to play with my dog. She couldn't even reach him because he kept pulling on the leash. Reeling it in by hand doesn't work when a dog pulls. Hilarious.
