Thanks in advance! He is 5 months now but I obviously want to get one that he can grow into and I am guessing he will be 90-100 pounds.

My 90# is long in body. I have him in a 42" wire( 42''L x 28"W x 30"H) or an XL Vari-kennel(700)~48 x 32 x 35 inches ). A (500) 40"x27"x30"H was too small for his length, even if he was lying down, it was cramped.
Depends on the structure of the dog and how the crate will fit in a vehicle. |

I use the big crate like Jane in the house. My Kustom crate that I have in my truck is 40X26X28. It has more width (by about 2") than the 500 Vari kennel (floor space on a vari kennel is not 27") and he isn't as cramped as he was in a 500. I notice he does curl more when in the truck crate, but he also curls up in his house crate. Donovan is long and 90#.
