Hello,
Long time lurker, first time poster. I was hoping someone might have a prong in 2.25 and 3.25 that they could look at for me and tell me if you could put the 2.25 prongs on the 3.25's martingale plates. Now the why. I want/need a black prong. Luvmydog seems to be the only seller of a black SS prong that's not just plated but black all the way through. Now the problem. I also want it in 2.25. They only sell the new Herm Sprenger buckle in 2.25. The traditional martingale style in black, is only available in 3.2mm. I've contacted them and they don't plan to offer any other sizes/options. Sooo, i might be able to buy both the 2.25 buckle with extra links and the 3.25 double O ring, and then put the double o's onto the 2.25 links. In other words, make a 2.25 mm double O (traditional martingale) Black SS prong. Dare to dream lol. So, before i drop over $70 on something that won't work, i thought i'd try to see if anyone had collars in the two sizes, and see if the plates/links will swap. Sorry it's kinda confusing, it's hard to put into words, but thanks for any help or suggestions. Pete Last edited by pdccd; 09-24-2011 at 10:27 PM. |

Lol. I've had a prong cover in the past and it didn't last. It started to share and shred within a few weeks, and it really doesn't do well with a ss prong and black shep. Allot of shiny metal still visible. Someone must have both sizes, just need to find who.

I second the Secret Power. I have one and not only is it beautiful, it doesn't look like a prong, yet controls like a prong.

My friend has the secret power collars... a couple different sizes of them. She uses them all the time, different breed of dog, but you can still see the prongs underneath the cloth. She uses them even at AKC shows (only outside and inside buildings but not for showing or competing) and has never had any problems or complaints about using one. I know she's been to probably almost a dozen shows this year. We did notice that her's are already starting to fray.
