This probably should be in the brags forum!!! Which isn't my intent....but I am so excited I have to share with folks who won't role their eyes and think I am an eccentric dog nut!
For the first time in my life, I ordered a new vehicle with every option I want, just the way I want it. A vehicle that will haul my wife, five kids, two German Shepherds, and all my gear..sleeve, scratch pants, dumb bells, tugs, and on and on. A 2012 GMC Savana 1500LT with All Wheel Drive ![]() This is a stock photo, but I ordered the polo green with these wheels and the sliding door. I saved $57.00 by ordering a vinyl floor rather than carpet!!! Plus...think of the time I'll save cleaning-up dog hair!!! It will only have two rows of passenger seats which leaves the back for dogs and Kustom Krates from Mark Natinsky. I want to kick off a design with him for two dogs and lots-o-storage. My oldest kids have been referring to it as the "Creeper Van", or "The Handicap Bus".....but my dear wife calls it "Dad's dog truck"....however, they and my "friends" have been making fun of me for days. When they give me a hard time about the Kustom Krates.....I keep telling them when I am done with accessories, it will look something like this.... ![]() I am kidding! but they all freak out, including my wife. I would like to add some simple fender flares (mud flaps of sorts) and not so much running boards as U-shaped step pegs. I feel like a kid.......

I am a Ford man, and I love my Flex, but it simply isn't a two dog hauler so my wife is taking that, I have taken over the Au Pair's Mini-van for now and she in turn has my wife's Buick until my GMC arrives in about eight weeks.
The Ford Econoline, which I prefer, has more options and a much nicer interior, but no AWD option......which I think will be nice when I am driving down a two-track in a hay field for tracking, or hauling kids to school in the snow. So this is my first GMC for the sake of AWD.
