I am always buying from the same three or four companies when it comes to dog equipment.
I just placed a $500.00 order between two companies that were both based in the USA. I would prefer to buy from places IN Canada though. I usually try to buy from Dog Sport Gear because they have a base in BC, Canada but I would like to know if there are any other Canadian based companies out there as well? Dog Sport Gear Schutzhund equipment, Police k9 equipment supplier , dog equipment, dog harness Sooooo... Canadian members... where do YOU purchase your gear from? Any recommendations of Canadian companies?

I've picked up half a dozen collars and leashes from Tybrushe Pet Supplies in the last year. They mostly cater to the conformation scene with grooming produces and such though they carry a lot of miscellaneous things (obedience dumbbells/articles) etc.
I'm in Canada, minus the trialing dog but I'll be watching for suggestions for more obedience stuff as well as agility/carting stuff. |

Hey noticed your in ontario. Our breeder recommended rens pet depot, and they are located out of oakville. you can shop online or place an order by phone. If you order online there is a flatrate shipping of 5.99 after a certain amount. Just placed a 200 $ order and they said it should be here by the beginning of next week. Noticed there prices are pretty good to.

Ren's is a good store, there is one about 15 minutes from my home in Kitchener.
But your right, they do have a wide variety of items and the one near me promotes quality food and treats. When I went in with my two dogs and my parents poodle, they gave out dried liver treats and were very good with the dogs, unlike Petsmart and like places.

I prefer to buy from companies in Canada too.
There are so many great products out there that we cannot get here. And many US based companies do not ship to Canada. Too bad Mountain Equipment Co-Op does not have good dog gear, like REI does in the U.S. I mostly buy from my local Ren's. |

Just bumping this up.
I am looking for mostly agility stuff (tunnels, chute and possibly a wobble board) and possibly a new tug for Zefra once she is finished teething. I would also like to purchase a few new and exciting toys.

Gunner's Dog House
This place has awesome tugs as well as stuffy & puzzle toys. Plus Karen is awesome to deal with. Her dobie, Blaze, is doing agility so she might be able to point you to some other companies for agility equipment. |

Thanks so much, I will definitely take a look tonight!
I am looking for Canadian companies because the last time I ordered a few items from the states, I have got reamed with customs charges, that equaled almost the amount of the order. I just places and recieved a $500.00 order and had to pay almost $150.00 in shipping and custom charges and that was for LIGHT weighing things... I can't imagine what a few pieces of equipment will be... eek!

Shouldn't have a problem with Gunner's. They're out of St. Andrews, MB.
I have a rope tug from her with rabbit fur braided in. Shania is not wild about it, but I know a 10 year old Boxer who loves it as her special toy when I dog sit for her. |
