Default electronic collars, two receivers, one collar

I have seen a couple of dogtra models where there are two receivers on one collar on one dog.

Can a second receiver be purchased and paired with any dogtra or tri-tronics models? i.e. you stim one and both receivers activate?

I am not sure what your asking for exactly. However, you might
consider D.T. Systems SPT 2422 Remote Dog Trainer. D.T Systems
does have collar systems that can extend up to 3 dogs.

You can definitely do it with Tri-tronics. I am pretty sure you can do it with Dogtra too.

Hey Jason, how's life up North

neiltus, you can pair a second Dogtra receiver to your transmitter but need to send serial number of first receiver to Dogtra factory, they will pair the second receiver for you and ship to you. With Tritronics, you can do the pairing (2nd receiver) yourself.

No need to send off for dogtra. Instructions are in the manual.

leerburg sells the 2 receiver model, they are for dogs doing bite work and stuff like that, I think its because they stay a little loose on the dogs neck, which is ok as the dogs neck swells during bite training

Im pretty sure its to ensure good contact because the collar is left looser to accommodate the swelling in a dogs neck during bite work.

To take the direction out of the equation. Some dogs move towards the stim, some move away from the stim. So if you position a single reciever on top of the neck (dog that moves away from the stim) then stim after the down command helps the dog go to the down position (pushes him down). This helps if you are a football field away.

2 recievers removes the directional impact of a single reciever. Some dogs respond better when you take away the directional response on some exercises. Not to mention the stim is 2x for the same level selected. You have to know the dog to determine what type of collar and how many recievers would be the optimal for that dog.

Thanks that makes sense I suppose. A bunch of years ago I used a Tritronics with some success but it was nowhere near as technically advanced as they are today. The transmitter was a HUGE cylinder with a telescoping antenna! I am dating myself I suppose.
