What is this thing that came with crate??

This crate was bought second hand and it came with this extra piece

It doesn't reach from side to side and it folds both ways in the middle.
Does anyone have a kennel like this one? What is this piece for??

Its a piece for inside the crate to make the inside smaller and you can move it backwards as the puppy grows. The smaller space is so that the puppy wont use the crate as a bathroom you only want it large enough for the puppy sit stand lay down and turn around while poddy training in the crate.

By the way, that snap-on handle that's on the top, Jax pulled that in the crate and chewed it into 1,000 pieces one day... Just puttin' it out there

It's a divider, but they are never sized exactly right and it's a major pain in the a** to make it fit.
