Default need help with collar

We were using prong on Jackson, then he had a terrible situation tht happened at our "old" training place where the training step on his leash while he was running, and it basically strangled Jackson and the trainer then yelled at Jackson-well after that Jackson cowered in the corner and now has issues with the prong and his neck. Doesn't like his neck touched-which we are working on with our new trainer. She suggested the easy walk gentle leader harness-well, that isn't working either. it slides off, and backwards, and we have no control over him on walks at all. We tried the harness that clips on the back as well-which is worse. Any idea's?

the sense-ation harness

I have used the gentle leader. It stopped the pulling but without it on there was pulling. I don't think it's an effective training tool.

I used a Halti with Shadow. It is similar to the Gentle Leader, but gives you a bit more control and fits better. Shadow has graduated from it now and walks very nicely on a flat collar. I still carry the Halti in my pocket just in case, but haven't had to use it in a month.

I've had good results with the Halti too. Same here, Bianca has 'graduated' to where I carry it but I don't usually have to put it on her at all.
