Default making flirt pole; suggestions what to attach?

I'm making a flirt pole for my 10 week old puppy (its his ten week birthday today! haha) Anyone have any suggestions for something to attach? He's going to be in schutzhund boy so should I fashion a little mini bite sleeve?

I just use some cheap leather gloves with a rope attached to an old fishing pole... works like a charm.

I don't have a schutzhund pup, but I use old t-shirts tied to mine. Plenty around the house, and when they get filthy or torn up they can be easily discarded.

I have seen a scrap of a real sheepskin tied to one…. we couldnt find that so bought a $2 stuffed fuzzy toy at Petco and tied that on…. next it will be a scrap of fuzzy fabric from my sewing stash….

awesome. thanks for all the suggestions everyone! I've also seen rolled up old carpet looking things. I'll go with one of these alternatives though because I'm trying to teach him to stop chewing the rugs in the house! haha

I use rabbit fur on my "Bunny Sticks" (hence the name).

One word of caution - be VERY careful how you use the pole.

Please do NOT wipe it around and make your young pup do sharp turns. Sharp turns can injure the growth plates of a young dog.

I would only do wide circles and then alot of pulling once the dog gets the prize.

Agreed with Lauri's advice... just try not to get too dizzy.
