Would appreciate insights.
Currently designing a 3 dog setup in my backyard. House sits on a slope facing south so I am trying to work with level and the area to the side of my house (even though yard is fenced) will get me in doo doo with the HOA because two neighbors can see my side/backyard. So I thought to take advantage of the screened in deck (bottom of two story deck) in my walkout basement (my office is also in the basement) Have two dogs, adding a third next year. This set up would have three, 3.5 x 7 foot "stalls" in the porch with openings to individual dog pens. Each stall would have 4 foot high solid walls between pens and 2 additional feel of fencing. Doors inside porch would be regular screen porch doors reinforced with a box fan mounted on outside of each door. Each stall would have horse mat flooring. Pens would be 7x10, 6x12, and 6x20 with four foot high "wall" between pens and then a total of fenceing to bring 6 foot high all around. I realize square is ideal but the drop off of my yard would then reduce this to 6x6 which seems rather small. I plan on using concrete pavers in the patio section........ Entire thing faces south which is good because we have a lot of deciduous tree cover so shading is not an issue nor is getting winter sun. Also would get the morning uphill breeze you get on a slope. ----------- Now I don't mind "tearing apart' my plan....I have all summer but suggestions / comments? I have to tear out my screen in my porch....what would be the best fencing? Figure wooden posts, wooden structure (yeah, but we have to match up with rest of structure and make it look good...nobody else can see this side of house though) ..........so with that in mind either chain linke, black or wire mesh or aluminum..... I will add a copy of my drawing later - I am having a dog of a time getting my image in..........

I did manage to get my "plans" up on my profile but not as a picture in the thread. Ahhh fooey - not sure why as it is in photobucket and I have done it before......
Well for the fencing material....what is best dimension for mesh? I see 2 x 4 inch, or is chain link better and why? What about guage? Figure I am using wood supports and fence posts so I imagine the welded wire is going to be a lot easier to work with in that regard. Is a different mesh better? like 1 x 1 inch?
