OK folks please help
My 5 month old Riggs needs to be kenneled now …I wake up at 4 am to take him to exercise etc for over an hour he still managed to chew the corner of my new TV I am at work from 8-4:30 I also will start building a 8 foot wide and long ’ kennel this weekend.. for indoor since I am in a an apartment and have a spare bedroom. My plan is as follows: Wake up 4am exercise till 7-30 but him in at 8 head to work 12 lunch time come home – play for 20 min let him out potty etc. 1 to 5 pm kennel time. Then 6 -8 Park socializes etc. Would this be too long for him to be in a kennel? Total of 5 hours Also thinking of putting on a vibrating collar for the excessive barking! I need some advice and or constructive criticism |

In general, a young dog can hold it an hour for each month of their age plus one. So a five month old can safely be kenneled for up to six hours, a six month old for up to seven hours, and at six to seven months, they can be crated/kenneled for the whole day, if needed.
So your plan is great! no worries there.
