Muzzles

I am thinking about getting a muzzle for karma . She is not a biter / aggressive at all nor do I fear a random incident but when I walk her at night on the riverfront there are bazillions of kids and some of them like to approach . Karma sometimes likes to have a sniff or give them a lick which can sometimes scare them but I want them to be able to Pat her . A muzzle might scare them more I guess but how many of you use / advise using a muZzle ? Are there downsides such as developed behaviour as a result of being muzzled ? Which are the better ones for hot weather and how do you size properly ? Should I just not worry about it at all !! Thanks

Dean and Tyler makes some really great muzzles for all working dogs. I recommend leather with some felt padding inside it for comfort and fit. Leather will hold up well too.
