Default Bowl Flipping

Ok, I'm getting a little fruestrated with my charming pup.
Every morning we feed ares in his crate and every morning he flips his bowl and moves the food all over the crate, throwing it outside the crate and generally making a huge mess. Then every morning I have to spend time cleaning up this huge mess. Then he does it all again each evening. I'm totally at a loss of what to do, its not like he's been doing this his whole life just the past few weeks.

I'm looking for a bowl that is heavy enough so he can't flip it but still big enough for his food. The bowls at Petsmart and Petco aren't big enough at only 1cup

Lay his meal in a track and make him work for it. Even if it is in the house!
I have stainless bowls from tractor supply, they are hard for the dog to grip in their mouth and hard to tip over because they are angled at the bottom with a gripper around the base....though my dogs aren't flippers, they are inhalers.

How about using a bucket with a handle and using a double sided clip to clip it to something, such as the side of his cage. We do this with our water bucket which we got at lowes, it's about 3 gallons and stainless steel.

They make weighted bowls you can order on-line. Zoe went through a flipping stage with both her food and water so my MIL gifted them to us
