I am just looking to see if anyone has used any of these products and what you thought of them?
Stark and I have lost $50.00 in balls in the last week alone at the park. It's been dark and snowy which makes it hard to see the tiny balls in a large field. I have tried the glow in the dark Kong balls, the Chuck-it glow in the dark ones, the no-name glow in the dark balls but would like something better because the field although dark, isn't dark enough to really see the glow in the dark ones. I like a medium sized ball, something with a bit of a grip to it so he doesn't choke on it and prefer a ball with a hole or one that I can drill a hole in to attach a rope too. Any suggestions would be appreciated as well.

Could you scent the balls with something (even put them under your shirt on the way to the park) I assume with the snow you can't hold them with your bare hands but he can use his nose to find the balls a lot better than his eyes.

What about the water Kong? The ones I've had were orange, and had an orange and white rope.

I have one of those, will try it tonight!
Thanks! Going to check out leerburg - I was hoping to find soemthing local though since the snow will probably be melted by the time they arrive. I have done the scent marking as well Nancey, but sometimes we play with several dogs - all having their own toys, one dog takes the others - some get lost - dogs too distracted with one another to search out the toy and it's usually pretty late (like midnight or after) so I don't feel like scouring the field with Stark.. lol.

I like the Orbee balls personally. You can find them at Leerburg already attached to a rope, or you can find them at some mom and pop shops or Pet Supplies Plus (if you have one, don't know how far they span!) and buy some rope to add- that's what we did.

They work great in the dark dark but not in the semi-dark where we play. I have a few of each of these.

I have found with snow on the ground, and a good amount of snow, the Meteor Light balls are the only ones that don't get lost and can be seen when it is completely dark or if there is still light out...AND IN THE SNOW!!! Many folks don't like them because they is battery powered, but we've been using one for the past year and JUST changed the battery. We've got over 3 feet of snow on the ground still and while the chuck-it balls have disappeared, these balls are still around. We use them ONLY for fetch sessions. PHoenix is not allowed to chew on the ball like he does his chuck-it balls.

what about a chuckit soft frisbee? I have a few of them, the hard corners glow in the dark, and they work great for nighttime
