Default Remote control boats!

So... we've gone through about 5 R/C boats now, ranging from the $25 walmart special to an actual hobby shop $90 one. The nice one was great, and the hull was like... nylon? so it had enough flex that it wasn't brittle like cheap plastic, but still sturdy. It also had enough speed to not get caught by the dog. It eventually crapped out on me, and yesterday a $25 "wave runner" from walmart lasted about 2 mins before it had a titantic style hole in the hull, and I had to salvage the batteries and pitch it.

Anyone know of something that will hold up well? I can find no quicker, better way to beef up my dog's anaerobic ability than chasing a remote control boat lol. And its also zero impact on the joints!

Product Details

Something like this, with say, a soft enough body to not injure the mouth, and fast enough to outswim the dog would be perfect!

My dogs go beserk when I pull an R/C boat out. They swim as hard as they possibly can and are absolutely exhausted by the time its battery charge time. Best exercise ever

LOL! Santa brought hubby a r/c helicopter for Christmas. Hondo totally ignores it. Hubby was attempting to land it on Hondo's back when the battery began to loose juice and he couldn't get it to rise again. Hondo placed his paw on it and looked at hubby as if to say, "this is your last warning..."

I had a little pocket-man-copter thing... katya snatched it out of the sky and ripped off his legs. He won't fly anymore

I don't know, but I'll be watching this thread!

I had this RC car that converted into a boat, but it was the slowest thing ever. If there were any waves at all, the boat didn't go anywhere. I'd like to get something faster and of better quality too.

In summer, I usually chuck a ball into the water. But sometimes he loses track of where the ball went and then it's gone forever.

My big issue so far has been all the "normal" rc boats are barely faster than a leaf blowing across the water. I don't remember them being this slow when I was a child.

This has been the most effective so far. You can see how this is perfect

Anyway, how did you make a car into a boat??

That IS perfect! That's what I think of when I hear 'remote control boats', not the slow things that can be out-swam by a minnow.

The RC car I have has a function where the wheels turn out in such a way that the wheels turn into propellers. Except it went like 1 inch per second, so it was unbearably slow.

It didn't even go very fast when it was a regular car, Chrono caught it easily so it has sat collecting dusk somewhere in the house for the last year and a half.
