Hey guys I just found out Ruffwear is coming out with a new backpack this spring!
It looks pretty neat. It is a smaller "hydration ready" pack called the SingleTrak. It looks pretty neat and I like the more compact size, but I'm hoping they come out with more colors (I read that they will also have one in brown.) I like that! Looks more comfortable than the Outward Hound ones I have.

Oooh, I like the smaller size, but I'm not too keen on the color, or brown either for that matter. That's a LOT smaller than their other packs, I have the Approach for Keefer and I can easily put two 1 liter playpus bottles in each side, this one comes with 1/2 liter bottles. I wonder if it would fit 1 liter bottles, or even how much extra room you'd have left with the 1/2 liter bottles in there. I don't carry much besides water when I take Keefer on hikes wearing his pack, but the more water the better. The Approach packs are actually larger than I need since we're just going out for a couple hours, not on overnight trips.
ETA: Wow, not cheap!

I go in the woods a lot and I am also very safety concious (military brain washing). So I had sent Ruff Wear an email request to have more of their items in Blaze Orange / Hunter Orange. So for me it looks great. I did want them to make their larger pack in the BLAZE / HUNTER ORANGE Color.
I wouldn't want some unseasoned frightened hunter to mistake my SABLE for a game animal. That Color is Awesome

Ooh. I like. We've been having problems with Elsa's REI one because when we go hiking and backpacking in the 'Dacks there are a lot of big boulders we have to slink between and she kept getting hung up on them. This might be a good solution so she can still carry her water for overnights but not be banging into everything.
ETA: Agree about the color. The brighter and non-animal looking the better. There so so many hunters in NY where you can go hiking it's like you want to go draped in all yellow, including the dog.
