Default What Clicker DVD?

http://clickertraining.com/store/?item=index

I can't really find a trainer around here and would like to do more clicker stuff with the dogs, because they really enjoy it, and it seems to work so well.

I think I'd learn better from seeing it done.

I was looking at the Clicker Magic, The How of Bow Wow, but wasn't sure which of that series would work best for me-it seems like those two would be the ones I would be deciding between? I am looking at training traditional things, calming, etc.

I have pretty much ruled out the chicken one.

There's also a Chill Out Fido book that I am looking at because here, when one dog reacts, it can create a very loud chain reaction. And that one dog...is usually one of my two more normal dogs! (Ava or Bruno) Not sure what is up with that.

Thanks for any help from people who get this clicker stuff.

I've seen people recommend The How of Bow Wow before, but I've never seen it, so I can't really comment on it. If you're looking for more than obedience skills, especially for "issues" dogs, I would highly recommend Control Unleashed. I have not seen the video yet, but the book is EXCELLENT - it won awards for Best Dog Training Book of 2007, Best Dog Sport Book of 2007, and
Runner up, Best Dog Behavior Book for Owners of 2007, and I've heard that the video is extremely well done. I was on Leslie's email list before she shut it down to focus on writing her new book on raising puppies the CU way, and everyone on the list who had the DVD said it was terrific!

It may not be the best nuts and bolts DVD for clicker training, though, if that's what you're looking for.

Jean, Gracie's trainer sent me some good info - said the Clicker Magic DVD is good (I have it coming soon!!!) but she told me of the Yahoo Group - might be a place for you to start and maybe people know of trainers in your area: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/ClickerSolutions/
