Default Car seat covers that fit and work?

I am looking for a good place to buy car seat covers to protect the seat from wet dogs and fur.
I had bought a cover once before that was supposed to fit my car (minivan) and it ended up being too small, so I have just been using blankets and sheets since then. The problem with those is they don't stay put very well. I am hoping to find some seat covers now that will fit and hold up well but not be too expensive. Any suggestions?

Hmm, I don't have much luck with seat covers either.

May I suggest sheets and duct tape!

After getting a car with leather seats, I know now that is the one requirement for future vehicles. They must have leather seats. Makes clean up so much easier since the hair only sticks to the carpet now and the seats can easily be wiped off.

Curious does anybody have any good suggestion on what to cover my back seats with to keep my pups fur from shedding all over them? The thing that sucks is my seats are all suede and my door panels are covered in suede as well. I want something I can easily take out when he is not in the car and people are going to use the rear seats.

Any good suggestions or just tucking in a blanket?

iconThis is what I use

It'll do the trick of covering the seats, but won't do anything for the panels.

c20-
how does that attach to protect the top of the rear seats? is it one piece that literally forms a hammock? also, how adjustable is it?

thanks

I use exactly what c20 uses and was going to suggest it!!
It attaches using the same clips you see in the picture for the front, except for the back you would hook it into like the seatbelt area or car seat thing. The straps are a little adjustable, and it also has velcro to go around the seatbelts so its attached lower to where the pups are.

Im sure you could buy it from Petsmart, test it out with your vehicle for a spin with the pup, see if it works, if not, return it (just keep your receipt!)

This is great because then also you can wash it, especially if your pup gets car sick occasionally.

Yes, there are buckles to hook it around the four headrests and velcro straps on the sides to loop around the side seatbelts to keep it in place. For some reason, they decided to add a zipper down the middle of the part that leads to the front seats, so I've heard of many dogs and even seen my own pull the zipper down and get into the front area.

Now I just leave it hooked up in the back seats only since Dudley doesn't move around as much anymore.

I think the zipper is so you can put one side of the hammock down and someone could sit back there without removing the whole thing.

I have the hammock also and it is really user friendly! Mine doesn't have the zipper though. I like it because the dogs can go off the seat to the floor.

You could probably put it on "backwards", and then the zipper would be in the back, and would be less likely to be zipped down if it is against the back of the backseat.

We are working on a way to fasten the zipper up. We tried a safety pin, that didnt last long. We will probably sew it shut soon.

I like keeping it hooked up completely since it does keep the dogs off the floor, I think it helps catch some hair from going on the floor.
