german shepherd ears

I have a female german shepherd mix, father 100% pure- mother- shepherd/pit mix...My german looks just like her father. Her ears were up at 9 weeks of age for 2 weeks and then went down. Her ears are now floppy to the side. She is now 13 and a half weeks old. My question is, I am afraid I damaged her ears because I often massage and gently tug and rub them. Could this have made her ears drop or have damaged them? Will they go back up on their own after teething or will they have to be taped? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, welcome to the forum! We love pictures, so can you share some? If her ears were up, they may come back up, it's normal for them to be like this at this age. No, massaging them and gently rubbing them can't hurt them.

Ears up then down is pretty normal especially when they're teething... Welcome to the forum!
