Default Taking ear forms out

I need to take it out on Monday as my pup has a show next weekend. It has been in well over 2 weeks and stuck in his ear pretty good. How do those of you that used forms take it out without hurting the dog? I know baby oil takes the glue off but how do you get the form out.

What about a medical adhesive remover...I have no idea if that is safe to use on his ears. After my nose surgery the doctor used this to get my cast off and it worked great. But you don't want this running down in his ear, maybe apply it with a Q-tip?

Again, I have no idea if this ok to use on dogs, maybe someone else will post soon.
