Our 9 week old pup Chance ears were up for a while and now down and from what i have read is all normal and will continue for some time, but he plays so hard, rolls around has bumped his head on a wood rocking chair a few time and im wondering if playing like this hitting his head/ears on things will damage them to the point they wont stand when the time is right?
Thanks! |

As long as he does not damage the cartilage he will be fine. They play rough with their siblings and knock things around with their head and are generally ok. I worried over my first gsd as I think most first timmers do and had questions about the ears, but these little buggars are tough.

They'll go up and down and all around until he's finished teething- around 4-5 mos. Give him plenty of things to chew to strengthen the muscles and when he's teething give him things like a frozen whole carrot or knuckle bones, antlers, bully sticks, etc. My dog liked the carrots because they fit into those hard to reach spots in back and we nice and cold
